Background
Although I was born in Ottawa, Ontario, I moved to Montreal only a few weeks later. I have been living in Montreal ever since and plan on staying here for a long time. I grew up with two brothers, so naturally, I was a bit of a tomboy. I went to a bilingual school and made friends with my francophone neighbours, so I quickly learned to speak French.
Interests, Activities and Plans
For the past five years, I have worked at Winners. I consider my work to be my second home as I am very close to the people I work with. We are a team and we always work well together despite our differences. When I am not in school or working, I like to write and draw. I enjoy writing vague entries on my blog to let out whatever is bouncing around in my mind. I also enjoy spending time with my friends and family. This is sometimes difficult as my closest friends live in various parts of the country. Some of them are now in different parts of the world. It's hard to stay close, but it's a challenge that I am willing to accept. Upon the completion of my degree at McGill, I would like to become an elementary school teacher. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was five years old and haven't changed my mind since that point. I would like to teach cycle two as it is the middle grades and you can teach them a variety of subjects.
